Learn Algebra II with a small group of peers in a challenging, supportive environment
In the weekly live zoom meetings, office hours, and through student interaction, our Algebra II students will have the opportunity to lay down a solid foundation based in understanding, using the AoPS Introduction to Algebra text as the primary text resource.
Class size will be capped at 12 students so that every student will have the opportunity for receive needed support and opportunity to interact and be heard in class. The class meetings will be interactive with an instructor that encourages a growth-mindset, supportive, mistakes-encouraged environment. We'll always aim for an appropriate level of challenge to keep the group growing!
Students should have already taken Algebra I prior to enrolling in this course, and have a solid foundation in the subject through solving quadratic equations. If you have any questions or concerns about whether or not this course is a good fit for your student, please contact us through our Contact page.

Topics Covered
This course will primarily cover chapters 10-22 of the AoPS introduction to Algebra text by Art of Problem Solving, as well as portions of chapters 6-8 and 10-17 of the Intermediate Algebra text. We will also define and extend the trigonometric functions to the unit circle and use them to model periodic phenomena. The idea here is to pull from various parts of different AoPS texts to complete the coverage of the material in a typical Algebra II course, plus a bit more, while maintaining the AoPS level of rigor!
